Description

An IT support role based at Head Office but requiring extensive travel to provide on-site technical support for all IT infrastructure at the company's resorts. The professional will be responsible for installing, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining hardware (including PCs, servers, printers, phones, TVs, and wireless devices) and related software, while providing technical support to users and third-party suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Support all IT infrastructure (PCs, servers, printers, telephones, TVs, wireless equipment) across multiple resort locations
• Install, repair, upgrade, maintain, and set up hardware and related software
• Provide technical support to end-users and assist third-party suppliers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently
• Travel extensively to various company resorts throughout South Africa as required

Qualifications

• Technical Experience:
• Expert in Wireless technologies, specifically Mikrotik Routers and Ubiquiti access Points and Routers (required)
• Experience with Linux and Windows 7/10/11
• Understanding of cabling and fibre technologies
• Previous experience in a similar environment is advantageous
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Linux+, LPI, N+, Security+, MCSE, or similar certifications
• A Wireless certification (Mikrotik + Ubiquity) is a distinct advantage
• Personal Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be prepared to travel extensively
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to solve complex issues independently
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with stakeholders at all levels
